Hematological Toxicity in Carcinoma Cervix Patients Undergoing Concurrent Chemo Radiation Therapy or Radiation Therapy alone in a Tertiary Hospital of North East India: A Prospective Study

Introduction: The current standard of treatment for locally advanced cancer cervix is cisplatin based concurrent chemo radiation therapy followed by brachytherapy. Concurrent radiotherapy causes acute hematological toxicities, which in turn leads to prolongation therapy. Objective: main purpose our study, was analyze the toxicity cervical patients undergoing or Materials and Methods: This a hospital observational study done at department Radiation Oncology, Assam medical college hospital. All biopsy proven attending department, within period from September 2020 May 2021 are included study. Results: Out 26 sample, grade 1 hematologicaltoxicity seen 2 (7.5%), 20 (77%), 3 toxicities 4 (15.5%) none developed nor 5 any other life threatening complications. Conclusion: Hematological more common with conventional external beam carcinoma patients. Compared 3DCRT, IMRT experiences significantly less ≥2 toxicities.
